First established in the UK in 1998, under the stewardship of Tim Bishop, Prezence Digital expanded into South Africa in 2002. With more than 18 years in the online and mobile industry, Bishop, chief technologyl officer at Prezence Digital, says of the decision to expand to South Africa: “At the time the individual talent was here, it just seemed to lack direction as the state of the web was poor, but the potential was plainly evident if you cared to look. We brought with us our highly creative and low bandwidth techniques developed for all of the ground-breaking Music Industry work we were doing n London which immediately made an impact here”
“Over the course of this decade, not only has Prezence Digital established itself as a major player in the online and mobile industry , I have also witnessed South Africa, and Africa in general, develop into arguably the most dynamic digital and mobile market in the world, and one which continues to grow,” adds Bishop.
Initially focused on the South African music and movie industries the agency evolved into being the leading full service digital agency with a truly formidable end to end service, which includes mobi, web, digital campaign management, social media and more recently apps all underpinned by one of SA’s most experieced technologist department, for major brands and agencies across Africa.
