The recent shoppa shows for Willowton Group in Harare, Zimbabwe, were a resounding success with product sales targets not only met, but doubled.

Implemented by Provantage, consumers were entertained with skits and professional dance shows. Dancing competitions gave consumers the opportunity to be part of the show and also win spot prizes.

The products on promotion were D’Lite Cooking Oil, Brite Lite Laundry Soap and Romi Low Fat Spread. A grand prize encouraged purchases and on the last day, crowds were captivated by celebrity DJ Sqilla who emceed and also conducted the grand prize draw. “The mechanics of the shows worked cohesively and brought energy and relevance to the campaign. The activators successfully brought across the messaging and the unique benefits of all the products,” explains Alex Brown, Provantage account executive: Africa division.
