Published: 4 July 2012

There is an on-going debate as to what role technology should play in the classroom. Future Ed, The Education Show is very aware that educating children with 21st century technology will provide the future manpower necessary to keep South Africa economically strong in a global marketplace.

Book now for the 2012 Future Ed, The Education Show
For this very reason Future Ed has introduced SMART Technologies, aimed at enhancing the process of teaching and learning.

This year at Future Ed, SMART will be presenting its SMART Classroom of the Future. Utilising four varied classroom scenarios, SMART Technologies will encompass its latest range of interactive whiteboards and interactive projector, SMART podium, interactive response systems, document camera and software, including classroom management and distance learning software, plus the newly released Notebook 11 software. SMART will also be demonstrating its technologies used collaboratively with other products, such as the iPad; which further assist both the teacher and learner. SMART is all about being interactive, so there will also be an opportunity to take part in live lesson activities in the SMART Classroom of the Future.

Visitors can also expect to be treated to instant prizes by being spotted waving their SMART flag.

There are only a few weeks left to register for Future Ed, The Education Show. Log on and register at www.future-ed.co.za. Registration is free.

Future Ed, The Education Show will be taking place from 19 to 21 July at the Coca Cola Dome, Johannesburg.
