SANBI transforms with a Z-CARD®

Looking for a unique way to condense a large document into a compact communication tool, the South Africa National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) recently selected a credit card-size Z-CARD®.

“The Z-CARD® format enabled us to transform our very detailed Corporate Strategic Plan (CSP) document into a user-friendly, easy to refer to pocket-size guide for our employees,” says Pedzi Gozo, SANBI’s director of marketing and communication.

“We are undergoing a transformation process and identified that we needed to generate a greater understanding of our CSP, vision and values amongst our employees,” she explains.
“The Z-CARD®, which has been well received by our staff, has enabled us to do just that,” she added.

The Z-CARD® will also be distributed to SANBI’s partners and stakeholders so that they are able to understand exactly what the Institute is all about.

SANBI’s transformation process also includes a new internal communication strategy, a new set of values, more team building initiatives and a range of other activities.

“Internal communication is of the utmost importance when it comes to the successful functioning of any company or organisation,” says John Davis, managing director of PocketMedia® Solutions.
